I have been suffering in a lot of pain for about six weeks now and recently became eligible for my medical benefits from the company i am working with. This was a God send,i know, since I cannot afford any medical tests on my own. Costs of laboratories are really expensive. You see,The doctor that I have been seeing is reluctant to do any tests for me. I told him about my pain and that I have not gotten much sleep. He has a wait and see attitude. He says if the pain persists, to come and see him. He did do an x-ray and an ultrasound. I'm supposed to have a ruptured disk in my back. He says to wait a while, and if the pain persists, he will send me to a physical therapist. I am in a rush to get better and I want all the tests I can get as fast as I can get them. I will only have health coverage for several months and then I will be back in the same situation I have been. I just feel like this doctor is not doing right by me. What do you think?

Much of the time, pain from ruptured discs will actually improve with no treatment.

Call and explain your situation to him. If you have a ruptured disc, contact a neurosurgeon, and listen to what he/she tells you.

Maybe you can go back to the hospital where the procedure has been done. Or maybe you can contact the physician who did the procedure. Or the most and big action is to to a legal action about the hospital and the physicaian itself.
