Pitted or Ice-Pick Scars
They occur more on the cheeks and make the skin look like it had been jabbed with an ice-pick. They are usually small, with a somewhat jagged edge and steep sides. Ice-pick scars may be shallow or deep, and may be hard or soft to the touch. Soft scars can be improved by stretching the skin; hard ice-pick scars cannot be stretched out.

Depressed fibrotic scars
They are often large with steep sides and sharp edges. The root-base of depressed fibrotic scars is solid to the touch. With time ice-pick scars can develop into depressed fibrotic scars.

Soft scars
This type of scarring can be deep or superficial. They are soft to the touch. And have gently sloping rolled edges that blend or merge with the normal surrounding skin. They are usually small, and either circular or linear in shape and do not progress or enlarge.

Atrophic macules
The size of these scars depends on where in the body they are present.  They are usually fairly small when they occur on the face, but may be a centimeter or larger on the body. They are soft, often with a slightly wrinkled base, and may be bluish in appearance due to blood vessels lying just under the surface of the scar. Over time, in Caucasian people, these scars change from bluish to ivory white in color, and become much less obvious.

Follicular macular atrophy
This type of acne scar is more likely to occur on the chest or back of a person with acne. These look like small, white, soft lesions, often barely raised above the surface of the skin—somewhat like whiteheads that never broke the surface of the skin or didn't fully develop. This condition is sometimes also called "perifollicular elastolysis." The lesions may be stubborn and persist for months or years when untreated

i really hate acne. i have it on my high school days. it really make my high school day a nightmare.
