*shudders* Pero sabi dun mothers seem to have the ability to "forget" just how painful giving birth is and this allows them to conceive again and go through the same process. Grabeh talaga panu nakakalabas ang baby "dun". It expands. Ay, I don't know if I can go through that myself.

One of my officemates told me nga na when she was about to give birth and was waiting for the doctor, there was also this pregnant woman in the same ward that was screaming her head off and cursing the nurses and doctors. She was like: "P******naaa! Sabi nang i-Caesarian nyo na ako ehhh!"

So there. Hoorah to our dear mothers!

i had my baby 8 months and a day ago and i tell you, the pain was so intense! super GRABEH! i don't think anyone can imagine how the pain really feels like. especially for me who don't normally get dysmenorrhea. at first, the contractions are manageable but it just gets worse and worse and worse. the whole experience seems so endless! especially for me since i already asked for an aenesthesiologist for a spinal block (i already had an injection and hindi tumalab) and she took 3 hours to arrive (sunday kasi so baka walang on call pero por dios por santo naman!) i was in labor for 16 hours since my cervix took a long time to dilate so they had to induce me and that just increased the pain.

i thought i'd have a normal birth pero ayaw talaga lumabas ng bata. tapos he started getting a slow heartbeat kasi i was also breathing shallowly so they had to give me oxygen so the baby can breathe. my OB finally decided to give me a CS. i really wanted a normal birth (although i was leery of being torn and stitched down there) pero all i wanted was to get it over with. the pain was almost too much to bear and i was telling myself i never wanted to have another kid ever again!

well, the baby finally came out of me (with matching squishy sound when he was pulled out) although i was too tired/releived/etc to really care. but i remember trying to look around when i heard him crying.

well, 8 months later my baby and i are both super fine. i love him to bits and my hubby is sooo good with the baby, too so i have no complaints. i find that i am willing to have another kid, just not so soon of course. having a baby is sow worth it. and i think there is a purpose to all the pain. it makes us really value our mothers and what they must have gone thru having us. i find that i appreciate my mother more now that i am also a mother.

and one more thing pala: i had a vertical cut sa CS so my next birth would be CS din (the baby was so big they couldn't take him out if they did the horizontal cut)

grabe!

Yung sister ko nanganak almost a month ago. Nakakatakot kasi first time nya, hindi namin alam kung CS or normal yung delivery niya. We were praying for normal kasi mas mura yung bill sa hospital and besides, the recovery is also faster.

But on the day itself, the doctors found out that the umbilical cord is nakapulupot sa leeg ng baby niya so there's no other way but to perform CS. 3 hours siya kasi nagla-labor and walang nangyayari. Ayun, nahiwa rin siya. No choice.

Less yung pain (physical) pero yung material pain, ouch talaga. Haha.
