Ahavia Lounge Spa (QC, Tomas Morato Area)
« on: February 20, 2013, 05:03:17 PM »
Ahavia Lounge Spa
#36 Scout Torillo St, Triple A Health Plaza Bldg.
Quezon City
Tel 0920-949-1586

If you are familiar with Ahavia Lounge Spa in San Juan, this is their 2nd branch. They just opened several days ago and they are still under "soft opening" when I came last weekend.

I was actually looking for Forrest Spa (despite of the negative reviews) and wanted to give it a try when I made a wrong left turn at Scout Rallos(coming from Rotonda). And I was pleasantly surprised to see the familiar Ahavia logo with a large soft opening tarp.

I availed of the Signature Ahavia Massage, PHP599 for two hours.

Review:
- receptionists are nice and accommodating
- hot tea was offered prior to the start of the service
- facilities (with common massage room, dark curtain dividers), with VIP rooms (equipped with jacuzzi and shower)
- I had mine done at the common massage room
- same look/design/esthetics as the San Juan Spa, only smaller
- the massage was very good (8.5 out of 10), I requested for hard massage and it was one of the very few cases where I had to request to tone it down (massage was a combination of shiatsu and swedish), full body massage (chest and stomach area included)

Minus points:
- My therapist (male) keeps on doing small talk like where do I live, where do I work, what's my work, how old am I, and get this, I was asked if I go to the gym!!! I don't know if I will be flattered or insulted as I am not ripped nor in good shape.
- Wala pa daw hot towel!!!

Crowd:
- Family-friendly (may mga kasabay akong mommies/daddies with their kids)

Therapists:
- Male and Female (varied din looks, young and senior therapists), manong and manang, may cute din naman

Parking:
- the frontage of spa can probably accommodate 2 cars, but the entire building, around 6 to 7 perhaps.

Will I go back, definitely yes! I am quite sure they are improving their services.

So finally, nakapunta na din ako last week. The place is almost the same with their main branch. I was attended to in less than 5 minutes. The place used to be Pinnacle Gym, eh may sauna yun so I asked them kung available, at dahil soft opening pa lang hindi pa daw. BTW, their cheapest service is Oriental 299PHP per hour. Nice place, though medyo may amoy pintura pa. Robe and towels are new to the point na pagpinunas mo yung towel may mga hibla na didikit sa balat mo. About my therapist, hands down ako. Magaling. Bihira ako makatulog during masahe, but bilang magaling yung therapist ko, ayon naglaway pa ako. Will definitely go back.

@flipboner, unfortunately, I have to agree with you. In my case, mga five thousand years lang naman. :) Seriously, they should improve on this and make the prep time a bit faster

@dnlbrnrt69 hindi ba sa may M. Marcos St na iyong nasa San Juan, the current San Juan place is much, much better and bigger than the recently opened QC branch, plus wala pa rin yatang silang cafe concept (food service) dito sa QC, unlike sa San Juan. When I came there as well, may konting finishing/repairs pa na ginagawa.

@azaria: The old location of Ahavia is in Wilson street, but they already transferred sa Allenby cor. M Marcos nga yata. Based from my small talk with the receptionist, yung mother yata ng owner ng Ahavia (San Juan) ang nag mamanage ng QC branch. Naalala ko, I was there in San Juan nung may pinagalitan siyang client dahil medyo matagal nag shower. Haha. Good luck Ahavia QC Branch.
