Pardon me if I created a new thread for this.  I basically wanted to share my experience here at Golden Leaf Spa.

Just like you I can also say that I am one of those explorers when it comes to wellness and spas.  I have tried a lot of different spas in the metropolis and every house carry it's own uniqueness and style.

Anyways, I visited Golden Leaf last Friday night before heading home.  The place is at Semicon Bldg along Marcos Hi Way (couple meters "across" Robinson East & Sta. Lucia East).  Parking here is not a problem they have ample space in front of the bldg and the guard will even ask if you like to park inside their compound.  There is gate right beside the building wherein you can also park your car (much safer) at no cost.

The spa is at the 3rd floor.  Like the other spas, the ambiance and mood of Golden Leaf is peaceful.  The receptionist is very courteous and accommodating.  Interior is basically Asian influence and basing on the design and "palamuti" you can obviously see that the owner of the establishment is a Chinese.

After paying, the receptionist hand me the magnetic locker key (like in wensha and other spa).  The attendant escorted me in the men's locker room and wet area.  Yup, you've read it right.  Male and female's locker and wet area are separated from each other (am sure you are already familiar with this kind of set up).    In the wet area, they have around 6 shower cubicles, a Jacuzzi  in which can accommodate 8-10 comfortably,  Steam Bath can accommodate 12 and a Dry Sauna that can lodge up to 7.

With the facilities inside the wet area, the only comment I can have is the steam bath.  I think they need to make the temperature a bit hotter. It is steamy but the temperature is so "bitin".  You can even stay for 45 mins straight.  I hope the owner can do something on this.  Else, everything in the wet area is Okay.

Now the main course...the massage.  After wet area, I went back in the locker room and informed the attendant for my 1 hr. massage (they both have male and female therapist..though right now they only have 3 male therapist and still hiring for more). Btw, you can choose between common or private room.  They even have couples room with jacuzzi inside.  The wait is not that long, my masseur came in and do his thing.  Just so you know and to cut the story short he did a great job.  He knows what he is doing and well trained.  In fact, if you are a frequent spa goer you can easily feel from the start if he is a good therapist. I felt relax after the massage.

So after the relaxing and "great job" massage ;-) ... I was asked by the attendant if am going to take my snack or will still use the wet area.  I went back to the wet area for a 20 minute dry sauna before taking a hot shower to rinse off the oil.

Eating time...well unlike Wensha who provide buffet and shabu-shabu for their guests, here in Golden Leaf they serve congee and siomai  for snack and not to mention the unlimited iced tea upon entering the spa and up to your meal.

My over all experience here in Golden is so good!  The place is recommendable!  Rating: 8/10


Note: I can possibly post my other reviews from other spas here in GBT like wensha, bay leaf, sm kenko, new York, city life (but its already closed), Asian massage etc. and  even home service experiences..hehe

That's what they normally say but that is for the traditional hilot.  it is okay to take a quick hot shower (max 5mins).  if you are in a spa after the massage just take a 15-20 minute stay in dry sauna first before taking a shower.  Now if its a home service just rest for a bout 30 mins to an hour then take a hot shower if you like. MAKE SURE ITS A HOT/WARM SHOWER and not maximum of 5mins instead of sleeping with the oil in your body and sometimes could be the cause of itchiness and skin irritation.

Ndi nman dude...been experienced several times ndi nman ganun volume ng Tao..and besides me wet area nman habang nag hintay kung sakali...

They provide robe like in wensha...but in the wet area you are not allowed...
