1) There are MANY products out there, but GNC has one that is incredible. "Wheybolic Extreme 60" Rather than go into a long explanation, just read the label. You will be sold. I use it myself, but only on my heavy lifting days. Wow what a difference. Quicly absorbed lean protein at just the right time will make the difference. When you have more muscle, you will need to increase your food intake as well to maintain.

2) The rules of thumb for resistance training are as follows: You will gain the most POWER, by lifting the most weight that you can lift 2 or 3 times. So if power is your goal, focus most of your sets in that range of two or three reps. You will gain the most MUSCLE MASS by lifting the most weight that you can lift about 6 to 8 times. Any reps 10 or higher are wasting your time unless you are trying to get ripped. You won't gain nearly as much size or strength from that. My suggestion is this for example: On the bench press. Start with an amount of weight that you can do 8-10 reps of. Add 20 pounds +/- and subtract two reps. Make sure to wait sufficient time in between sets. Keep adding weight, and decreasing reps. This pyrimid style covers the whole range from power to endurence and conditioning.

3) Recovery. Most guys that struggle to put on size, workout too hard and too often. If you are trying to bulk up and gain strength, you should give your body two days between workouts of the same muscle groups.

4) Hormones. Hormones help to boost muscle growth. I have found that two things really boost my hormone level. Sprint workouts and /or squats. I DON'T believe in steroids.

These are just suggestions based on generalities. If you continue to have trouble, or if you hit a wall at some point, drop me a line.

Good Luck!

One of the cheapest ways is to drink a large glass of fruit juice (especially orange) every day. It is LOADED with calories. Buy the best you can afford - make sure the ingredients don't include water or filtered water. If you can make your own with a jucier then even better. Also, eat a banana before you go to bed so you don't lose too much weight overnight.

my two cents worth
just sharing....
