HI would you happen to have experience about 12 year lock-in contract under credit card payment? Because I'm Paying 2,750.00 monthly and i've already used 3 months and i don't wnt to use it anymore. Ang dami kong nabasang di magandang stories about sa Cancellation of contract. My worry is I'm using my Friend's credit card, at kung i pa cancel ko i'm sure di automatic cancellation even if i will provide a 1 month ahead letter notice, i'm afraid i auto debit nila ang CC ng friend ko Sad((. The only safest way na naiisip ko is to offer it to someone who's using a Credit card too and ung natititrang months nalan gamitin nya. 9moths instead of 12 since na gamit ko na ung iba. can somebody shed light on me? Thanks!

Wala naman akong reklamo sa Fitness First so far.

Fitness First so far gave me the best services and made healthier and leaner. Thanks to their Fitness Classes and their clean equipments. :-)

I work out at Fitness First in Megamall. That's the nearest I can workout to because I live some place in Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong.

well bukod sa membership cancellation concerns, membership prices,  marami din namang company issues ang FF just like any other gyms... may mga stories din akong naririnig about sexual harassment between a client and a trainer... like yung naging case ni Sam Santos..nabalitaan nyo ba yun?

pati yun  PT from the FORT na natanggal because of sexual harassment to the former TV/MOVIE Actress Michelle Ortega....Familiar? Ung PT is a skinhead moreno.

nagagawan din naman ng solution lahat.. those issues were already addressed by the management. natanggal din yung trainer na yan eventually..

kahit saan naman. miski sa corporate world may mga issues din na kelangan i settle... nag iimprove naman ang company over time through their services.

but i still suggest that as a member we need to exercise our rights to report any untoward incident that may happen with inside the gym premises. Such acts cannot be tolerated.

Just some tips to enjoy your FF membership --- you're paying php2,500 to 3,600 (depending on your membership details)a month so it's better you get your money's worth. Here goes:

1. For a 30-day month, make sure you'd allot AT LEAST 20 days for your gym sessions. Say you're paying 2, 900 monthly, that would make it Php145 per day. Not bad. If you can have more days, the better.

2. Time management. It is normally open from 6AM to 10PM, you've got more than 12 hours to fit in whatever schedule you have.  Having no time is a lame excuse really for gym goers. Make time for it, c'mon. Think of the amount you're paying, that's enough ' conditioning' to push yourself to be at FF.

3. Maximize use. I attend yoga classes at FF Manila. How much is a yoga session outside FF? At a minimum, Php350-500. For 3 yoga sessions I attend every week, I should be paying 1050-1500, But at  FF, FREE or part of your monthly fee. There are several GX you can join, go for them! All of them may be beneficial to your flexibility, strength, stability and vitality. As added bonus, GXs allow you to meet new friends ( of course, you are not really there to add up your friends' list on FB, but c'mon, loosen up, there's nothing wrong about gaining new friends).

4. Shower. Sauna. Spa. Free flowing coffee and all other amenities applicable to your membership details. AVAIL, USE THEM ALL. Feel at home really. Don't be shy and don't mind what other people would say. As long as you don't step on somebody's mat or toes, nobody would really bother you. You can even sleep at the couches. Use the PCs for internet or if you have your own gadget, enjoy the wifi. MAKE IT YOUR HOWN. BE AT HOME. (I am sure you know the parameters, I know that whenever you go, you will always bring your good manners. Feeling at home doesn't mean you have to throw away inhibitions or proper decorum).

5. This is most important, GET INTO A PROGRAM. Know your goals, you cannot just go there without an objective. If you cannot afford a PT (like I do), research for a program that will suit your needs/goals. Don't be afraid to experiment, to push yourself and don't mind looking goofy doing those sets you learned from internet. (If you cannot research, ASK QUESTIONS from a PT, you will not be charged for that. You may also ask other members to determine if you're doing the right thing, just DON'T ASK FOR THEIR NUMBERS AFTERWARDS. )   Knowing your goals will set your focus. Keeping your focus will set your targets. Meeting your targets set results. Getting results make you one happy person. JUST DON'T FORGET TO HAVE FUN WHILE DOING ALL THOSE REPS. Be serious about your program but please don't die on the floor --- so have fun. Make yourself enjoy whatever you're doing and eventually, YOU WILL LOVE YOURSELF.

6. LEARN TO GIVE IN AND SHARE. If you don't want to have friends, at least, have some courtesy to other members. Share that squat rack, those dumbbells, those benches. Don't be arrogant or braggart. Feeling at home doesn't mean the place is all yours. Grab a dictionary and find the word 'ALTERNATE' so that you wouldn't give a blank look if someone approaches to alternate with you. Maintaining a good relationship with other members and staff, including maintenance and security guards will make your stay more comfortable, worthwhile and yes, enjoyable.

Enjoy!

Nakita ko lang eto sa Facebook... someone posted and i thought sharing this over here para malaman din ng ibang members about this.
Fortunately nahuli naman nila yung suspect. yun nga lang baka meron pang ibang 'suspected' members na nagroroam around sa mga branches... we don't know what could happen not unless we become vigilant  especially we know gyms are also public places.

Quote
July 22, 2011: At around 11:45am, my dad arrived at Fitness First North Edsa. As usual, he stored his bag inside the gym's locker. He keeps everything inside his bag, he has been doing this for the past 2-3 years. At 1:37pm, Citibank called up my mom checking if my dad is currently using his card at Landmark Trinoma grocery. My parents got alarmed and my dad checked his wallet. He found out that his 2 citibank credit cards were missing (1 classic and 1 gold). He immediately told the agent to block this two credit cards. And then, we went to Landmark to check with the security office and to report the incident (kasi we were hoping that the suspect was still in the mall). When we went to the grocery, we found that he placed all the grocery items in the package counter. We stayed there hoping he would come back for it. After 30mins of waiting, he came back for it and the landmark security went after him (the cashier was able to identify the suspect). He was detained in the security office of landmark and he was acting innocent at first. At that time, he was carrying all items he purchased. Eventually, he admitted the crime to the commander of the security office. We found the two credit cards with him and my dad asked if he took some money as well. According to him, he took 1000php but syempre we don't believe him kasi my dad is also not sure how much money ang nawala. This suspect is a fitness first platinum member in rcbc tower and he lives in cityland pasong tamo, makati ("daw"). So, i was wondering what was he doing in north edsa if he lives in makati! Modus operandi?! And how can he afford the monthly dues (mas mahal pa sa platinum!)?! He didn't have any ids with him at that time and so, we don't know if his name (Joselito Cruz) is real. The suspect was also insisting that my dad didn't close his locker and that was how he was able to get the cards and cash! But of course, we didn't believe him kasi you cannot get the key without closing the locker! Ginawa pa akong bobo! kainis! He then just said that he just tried to open my dad's locker using his key - hello?! is that even possible?! eh all keys are unique kaya! The locker was not damaged kaya baka inside job din! Sad The suspect spent 23,000 in grocery items (divided into 3 transactions - para di ma-obvious diba?), 34k nikon d3100 camera with tripod, 27k gold bracelet plus 6k worth of gym apparels. The whole ordeal lasted for 8 hours (6hours in landmark security office and 2 hours in the precint) but we were lucky since we were able to retrieve all the items he purchased. The suspect was even asking if we can just settle it. Hello?! Ano sya hilo?! He then ask how much will be the bail?! Exagg! In the precint, the suspect admitted that the name "Joselito Cruz" is not his real name. His real name daw is "Acel Cortes" and he is gay (medyo obvious naman when i was talking to him medyo malamya magsalita)! He also admitted that this is a modus operandi aka sindicato - the sindicato pays for the dues and they have this people go around the fitness first branches to rob the lockers of the members. I know hassle and time-consuming to pursue this case but we are determined to really pursue it. I believe that justice will be served!

So, to all FITNESS FIRST MEMBERS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!
