One topic that seems to be worth asking is...

Is it ok to marry someone you do not love if you like them and you are compatible?

What do you think guys?

no.... gusto ko pa rin yung taong mahal ko... at the end of the day... what matters is what you feel inside for her.

guys, i just want to share this to you..im here in doha, qatar..it surprises me most of the time to know that some nationalities here were married with the ones they did'nt love (before marriage) because most of them had fixed marriage..but to us filipinos, it is very important to us to marry the one we truly love..kaya ang sagot ko, hindi..dun ako papakasal at papaSAKAL sa taong mahal ko..well, i just did..hehehe..

Relationships by nature are difficult. Yes, even among happily married couples. So why do you want to make it more complicated by marrying someone that you don't love?

But, I respect deep cultural practices that arrange marriages. Can't say I agree totally, but a lot of them turned out to be ok. If you live in a society that doesn't arrange marriages, then choose wisely.

That is stupidity, bro. You're not just fooling that person, but yourself also. Be man enough to say you don't love her.

in my culture, it used to be that way, arranged marriages. guess what, my parents, uncles, aunts from both mother and father sides came from arranged marriages. they found love in each other and only one marriage failed. statistically speaking, they did good. we are actually a one big happy family.

I can say that I am a product of an arranged marriage of my parents. they are happily married. they are not perfect, we have our dysfunctionalities yet they made it work.

Think about this, why is it that a lot of OFW or long-distance relationships/marriages failed even if they married/promised the one they "love"? So, they fell out of love and loved another? love if it is just what you feel, then like any mood swings, it changes. If it is a decisive commitment, then in good or bad, long distance or not, they accept one another. that is how it worked with my family.

i do agree with houndjock though.
