Yes.
“ the levels of glutathione in the liver is critically linked to the liver’s ability to detoxify.  The higher the
glutathione content, the greater the liver’s capacity to detoxify harmful chemicals.  Typically, when we are
exposed to chemicals to which can damage the liver including alcohol, the concentration of glutathione
in the liver is substantially reduced.  This reduction makes the liver susceptible to damage.”

A lot of people think that Glutathione or GSH is for whitening purposes only, actually it's a liver supplement, it was really intended for this organ, and when I talk to my european friends about the whitening effect they don't want to take Glutathione anymore, ayaw nila pumuti

In tropical countries kasi the notion is that if you're dark you're a farmer,if your skin is fair you're rich because you can  stay in airconditioned rooms
in temperate countries if you're dark you can afford to travel to exotic tropical destinations like Fiji
and boring tingnan kung majority maitim o maputi, such a crazy world out there
in the US and Europe if a medication or supplement makes you pale takot sila kasi baka the medication is making you sick
is being dark a disease na dapat nating itreat with whiteners?

well i believe, sa philippines setup po kasi, kunyari in television, mass media, sa mga commercials..  mostly mapuputi yung nakikita natin. flawless white they say and this becomes the standard basis of what beauty is all about...

ako talaga gusto ko pumuti kasi feeling ko madumi pag maitim e..

it's not about a disease to become dark.... it's just that mas nakikita mo na malinis ang isang tao pag maputi... kung magkaroon ng dumi sa balat mo kita mo agad..dba?

feeling ko po kasi mas gaganda ako pag puputi ako e..  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Glutathione

“..Is a tripeptide molecule composed of glutamic acid, cysteine and glysine. It is one of the main nonprotein antioxidants in the cell, and has been reffered to as the body’s “master antioxidant.”

Glutathione is present in nearly all living cells, and without it they can’t survice. The major functions of glutathione in the body include protecting cells against destructive effects of free radicals; detoxifying external substances such as drugs, environmental pollutants and carcinogens; maintaining cell membrane stability; and amino acid transport..”

- Ward Dean, MD Click here to see the whole article.
In plain English, it simply states that Glutathione is 1. present in our bodies 2. Has an antioxidant effect (neutralizes free radicals much like what Vitamin C and E does, but a lot more powerful).

This comes in pill form (what is currently available on the market), and is marketed as a Skin Whitener. I’ve always been a firm believer in eating the right foods instead of stocking on supplements and eating poorly. As usual. Consult a physician before trying anything. I just don’t get it why people love to have paler complexions.. Dark skin is fabulous! You can get away with a lot of things (a little weight gain or cellulite is not as visible on tan skin), trust me.
