SOME HORROR stories about HIV and AIDS in Manila
« on: February 11, 2009, 04:05:39 AM »

I was once told about HIV ( which was in circulation before ) that there was a caution warning about finding some needles on the seats of some cinema halls - you know those cinemas frequented by most men looking for sex then having such labels as :Welcome to HIV family...

According to my knowledge, the lifespan of HIV is not more then 30 second outside human fluids and this is a very short period to play such a mischief in cinema malls. Please make it clear. So this panicking among the media can be removed.

The reason why i started this thread is to know more horror stories these days and talk about myths about HIV and become fully aware.

HIV usually dies fairly quickly outside of the body but i heard some viruses like Hepatitis B can live on a dry surface for weeks. Now imagine that!!!!

There are lots of misconception about HIV.. mostly sa unprotected anal sex ang reason which is done in M2M..... kasi unprotected anal sex is a high risk activity whether you are the insertive or the receptive partner. Semen is the most infectuous body fluid and the anal muscles are a lot more prone to tearing than the vagina. It is the most dangerous sexual act among others. This has been confirmed time and time again by various AIDS/HIV doctors. Pag vaginal sex kasi hindi ganun ka risk kasi nageexpand ang vaginal opening pag babae at hindi prone sa tearing kaya walang blood na macrecreate.

Oral sex is relatively safe in terms of HIV. Doctors will not tell you it's 100% safe because they have presumably encountered cases wherein homosexuals supposedly got HIV solely through oral sex.

Of course such cases are at doubt because not all patients give accurate testimonies. If you ask them their "off the record" opinion, they'll tell you its safe.

What's surprising is that doctors have mentioned that having an intercourse with a commercial sex worker is even safer than having sex with someone you met at a bar or a bath house. Sex workers and the owners of the establishments are fully aware of these things (since it's their profession) while strangers in bath houses are simply in it for the pleasure with nothing to lose.

I've read about this HIV positive guy who intentionally scouted for sex partners to spread HIV. This was according to him was his way of exacting revenge for what happened to him.

So it's better to be safe.
Not have sex with strangers.
