HIV signs-symptoms. Please READ Must READ

Content: Early infection
When first infected with HIV, you may have no signs or symptoms at all, although it's more common to develop a brief flu-like illness two to four weeks after becoming infected. Signs and symptoms may include:

signs and symptoms
Sore throat
Swollen lymph glands
Here are some signs of HIV infection:

Swollen glands in the armpits, groin, or neck
White spots or unusual marks in the mouth or throat, or on the tongue
Red, brown, pink, or purple blotches on or under the skin. Blotches can also be inside the mouth, nose, or eyelids
Fever that will not go away
Pneumonia—a disease that causes the lungs to fill with fluid
Here are some symptoms of HIV:

Losing a lot of weight without trying
Dry cough
Sweating a lot during the night
Feeling very weak or tired for no reason
Diarrhea that lasts for more than a week
Memory loss

Even if you don't have symptoms, you're still able to transmit the virus to others. Once the virus enters your body, your own immune system also comes under attack. The virus multiplies in your lymph nodes and slowly begins to destroy your helper T cells (CD4 lymphocytes) — the white blood cells that coordinate your entire immune system.

Later infection
You may remain symptom-free for eight or nine years or more. But as the virus continues to multiply and destroy immune cells, you may develop mild infections or chronic symptoms such as:

Swollen lymph nodes — often one of the first signs of HIV infection
Weight loss
Cough and shortness of breath
Latest phase of infection
During the last phase of HIV — which occurs approximately 10 or more years after the initial infection — more serious symptoms may begin to appear, and the infection may then meet the official definition of AIDS. In 1993, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) redefined AIDS to mean the presence of HIV infection as shown by a positive HIV-antibody test plus at least one of the following:

The development of an opportunistic infection — an infection that occurs when your immune system is impaired — such as Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP)
A CD4 lymphocyte count of 200 or less — a normal count ranges from 800 to 1,200

i think the best way to avoid getting HIV is to equip yourself with knowledge regarding the virus, get tested every 6 months and ofcourse, practice safe sex :-)

There are two strains of HIV, there's HIV1 and HIV2, HIV1 most of the time is asymptomatic meaning there are no symptoms at all so the best way is still to get tested. HIV1 is usually the asian strain.

thanks for sharing,

now my question is..

Do HIV early symptoms appear all together at the same time?
like say (fatigue, rash, aches, nausea, fever, sore throa, swollen lymph glandst etc) happen at the same time or is it possible that they could be one after another?

i would like to add that..

Most of these symptoms are not usually signs of  having HIV. Most people do not even show any symptom even if they are infected. You cannot rely on symptoms at all. The symptoms are usually due to other medical conditions or due to anxiety. The only way to know is to get tested. Your test at this point is going to be a very good indication about your status. Go get tested today. Then confirm it with a 3 months after exposure test to get your conclusive result.
