Are you in favor of Mandatory HIV Testing?
« on: February 04, 2009, 07:04:07 AM »
I thought asking this the forum..

There are lot of discussions from the internet discussing about mandatory HIV testing. i take this initiative to conduct a survey for our sake and see what the public have to say of what they stand about this issue. Several laws are in place to safeguard one's health status but the overwhelming condition and statistics of hiv is drawing a lot of confusion and debate as to whether or not to conduct mandatory hiv testing for everyone's sake and for future use .

i hope you, as a reader, would find time to answer the poll. everyone is welcome to share his/her views.

Now what's your stand? Are you in favor of HIV Testing?

i agree but when they start rejecting applicants who has HIV, dun na nagiging unconstitutional coz their depriving the right of the person.. descrimination and prejudice ang kalaban jan.. but if people have a broader mind, especially employers, then wala ako nakikitang problem.

i would say no....

primarily because of social stigma which is still attached to HIV and those who have been infected by this are surely facing the discrimination... medyo openminded na mga tao ngayon but still hindi pa rin nawawala ang takot at discrimination aminin natin yun..

kunyari nalang naghahanap ka ng bagong work.. ngayon those who don't know na they are hiv+, kawawa sila because they are discriminated na agad sila from work... pano na yan sa hirap ng buhay ngayon... they still need work.

i think this is one of the hardest questions to answer. i think with the kind of social stigma which is still attach with HIV... this  becomes of the ethical issues. but if you  would ask me,there should be consent from the patient to still undergo this testing to be fair enough

trexhunk....madalas ba sumasakit joints mo? madalas ka bang may dry cough?

Minsan kasi pwede magkaroon ka ng ganito pero hindi HIV ang cause...
may recent exposure ka ba  lately? unprotected?

Hi Buddy...

Hi I am The Green Man... I've been a Poz for two years now.

HIV does not have symptoms unless you're nearing or on the latter stage of the infection.

Regardless kung may nararamdaman ka or wala, it's always best to get tested especially when you're sexually active or had unprotected sexual encounters :-D

Whe you get the chance.... please visit my blog at www.thegreenmandiary.blogspot.com.

Hi Guys,

I was browsing the net when I stumble upon this forum.

I am glad that we have concerned and curious people here.

I've been Poz for two years now and been through a lot of stuff and met a lot of interesting people.  I am pretty out about my HIV status.

I do freelance counselling, peer education and anything you can think of to help the advocacy.

I hope to make more friends through this forum.

If you have anything to ask… shoot me.  I don’t have any censorship and I will answer you to the best of my ability ?

Cheers,
The Green Man
