i have read about hepatitis b in America. this is one of the frequent question asked:

I am applying for immigration to the United States. My HBsAg test was positive. Will this affect my application?

No. Testing positive for HBsAg should not affect your application for immigration. HBsAg-positive persons are considered eligible for migration and adjustment-of-visa status. You will need to be counseled and have follow-up medical evaluation and care in your U.S. resettlement community.

here is the link:

on the same article, here is another question asks:

One of my patients is foreign-born and is positive for HBsAg. How will this affect his application for immigration to the United States?

HBsAg-positive persons should be considered eligible for migration and adjustment-of-visa status and they should be counseled and recommended for follow-up medical evaluation and management in their U.S. resettlement communities.

Saw this from a New Zealand immigration site.

"We will consider that people have an unacceptable standard of health for residence in New Zealand and may decline their application for residence on this basis if they are likely to impose significant costs or demands on New Zealand’s health services or special education services "

The list of conditions which automatically assumed to be expensivee is found in the link http://www.immigration.govt.nz/nzis/...anual/7641.htm

in relation to hep B it is listed as "Hepatitis B surface antigen positive, with abnormal liver function ".

This means that if you have chronic active hepatitis B, you may be denied visa to NZ. Ask your doctor to do a complete hepa B evaluation.
