I am currently doing a feasibility study myself about the effects of night shift/graveyard shift in call centers. I am creating this survey as my initiative to answer most of the health concerns of a call center agent. May I ask you to candidly answer the few questions I will be posting? Thank you very much in advance.

1.Is really worth the effort and money a call center receives out of working on a night/graveyard shift? What do you believe and stand?

2.Do you enjoy the fringe benefits a call center provide? Are you happy of what you are getting?

3.What are the most common health issues you are concerned about as a call center agent? How do you plan to handle this condition?

4.Do you ever take supplements/vitamins to make your body energized and well maintained?

5.Do you exercise or indulge in any sports related event?

6.What kind of food would do you provide for your meals and how often do you eat in a day?

Hi Bubbles. here's my share:

1.Is really worth the effort and money a call center receives out of working on a night/graveyard shift? What do you believe and stand?

-> i think it still depends. when you are a fresh graduate, it's worth because you get the chance to experience the real world with a high salary bracket already.

2.Do you enjoy the fringe benefits a call center provide? Are you happy of what you are getting?

-> yes, so far so good i am satisfied with my current employer. they provide you with health benefits which is very beneficial on my end. but lately been sick because of stress at work.

3.What are the most common health issues you are concerned about as a call center agent? How do you plan to handle this condition?

4.Do you ever take supplements/vitamins to make your body energized and well maintained?

-> Yes, as much as possible Vitamin C, Vitamin A and Calcium

5.Do you exercise or indulge in any sports related event?

-> No time.. sad to say...

6.What kind of food would do you provide for your meals and how often do you eat in a day?

-> i mostly foods offered by fast foods as there's no time to cook. i eat 3-4x including snacks.

Hi,

Proper hygiene is not an issue with Call Center agents infact it's the environtment itself where STRESS is the enemy.

Health lifestlye aswell coz most of Call Center agents smoke and drink after their shift so you just have to decipline your self if you want a healthy life.

Check my answer, I've been in this industry for about 5 years na.

1.Is really worth the effort and money a call center receives out of working on a night/graveyard shift? What do you believe and stand?

Answer:
Absolutely. And the top reason for this is its premium base salary. An associate can earn same level of salary with a supervisor on a local company.

2.Do you enjoy the fringe benefits a call center provide? Are you happy of what you are getting?

Answer:
Each call center has its own and unique composition of benefits that is truly far better than local companies to attract competitive employees.

3.What are the most common health issues you are concerned about as a call center agent? How do you plan to handle this condition?

Answer:
Since most of the time, Call Center employees are strict in terms of adhering break schedules, after eating, they need to be able to login back into their station and seats all the time. In effect, several employees have a bulging bellies and tummies which result to abdominal pain, gastro... stomach pain and all that stuff. Some also experience eye problems and sleeping problems as well is one of the major problem.

4.Do you ever take supplements/vitamins to make your body energized and well maintained?

Answer:
I do take supplement or vitamins like Ferrous sulfate for the blood and Vitamin C to be immune in some diseases. I might suggest vitamins like Revicon, Centrum, stress tabs though some of these may get you drowsy.

5.Do you exercise or indulge in any sports related event?

Answer:
Its a must as well. In fact, whether you are working in a call center jobs or in any jobs, you need to have or do some exercises to keep your body active and alive and keep your body in shape. I don't need to enumerate and talk on it in details. =)

6.What kind of food would do you provide for your meals and how often do you eat in a day?

Answer:
It really depends on a person how much food intake he needs. But I would suggest to eat more fruits like bananas, apples and to eat less rice, or just enough rice. BE more enage in eating fresh or vegetable salads because its easy for our body to digest all those foods. Most call centers, are drinkers and smokers. I would suggest if you are one, to lessen the times you drink especially in the morning (after shift) and to control your "yosi break".

Hope this will help and this is by experience.
Good luck with your feasibility.

kahit na malaki ang salary ng mga call center agents.. if they would only have second chances or they have options for getting better opportunities they would totally leave the post... most call center agents i know are just there for maybe 2 or 3 years tapos aalis na...

That's right, but do they really have an available second choice? Maybe there is or maybe there is none. They can go abroad but do all have a bigger chance to work abroad?
