may nakapagsabi sa akin na the costs daw ranges from 50K-120K but i guess it really depends on what needs to be done. As to safety, well... what needs to be discussed is if the benefits outweigh the risks of surgery. If it does not, then it's not safe enough. Again, it depends on what needs to be done. Everything will depend on what the eye doctor saw during the examination and the surgery.

Just to clarify everything...on my case, I have my first lasik at american eye - shangrila way back in 2002 for both eyes. Everything went well and I have my annual eye exam.  Until last year, it was discovered that nagkaroon ng grado ulit ang left eye ko, then american eye offered me to have lasik again free of charge. So I have my 2nd lasik on November. But what happened to my left eye after the lasik is it became dry, until the surface of my eye started to "namamalat". After using several artificial tear eye drops (gentile, sooth, hialid, then systane ultra), ointment (tobrex), and I've been  taking fish liver oil orally, my left eye is back to normal, so is my vision only recently.

For me, it's safe. As long as you have your eyes check first if you are eligible to undergo lasik, and I'm sure, all eye clinic will do a pre-screening first. Also, dapat medyo mataas ang grado mo. Before I have my first lasik, my both eyes are 500+.
