Hello po..

Magtanong lang sana ako ng details regarding lasik surgery.. Has anyone tried this operation? How much po ang costs when doing it in Manila?

Would you recommend any eye specialist doctor who can do this procedure?

Been scouting for this a while and i hope somebody in this forum would like to share their ideas...

Just word of advice my friend... LASIK is not for everyone. If you have risk factors, don't do it. If you are a good (or ideal) candidate with no risk factors, like I was, then DO IT! The only problem with LASIK is that there are some "discount" LASIK centers that use older generation gear on less-than-ideal candidates because they're trying to stay in business. So find out who the best LASIK center in your region is, and go there. This is not a time to pinch pennies.

Last week nagpa-lasik ung wife ko sa Asian Eye Institute sa pinas. Dr. Ang the only lasik surgeon sa AEI ang specialist, sya lang gumagawa dun to maintain ung quality ng surgery, very accomodating.

The result: Very good according to my wife. 300+ went to 20/20

Me too. Gusto ko din sana nito but too scared to try.

Anyway, scared pa rin talaga ako kahit na ayoko na rin mag-glasses. Meron kasi akong nabasa dati na mga experience nung mga nagpa-laser tapos parang after several days, either bumalik sa dati or nag-worsen yung condition. Well, siguro naman nag-improve na lalo yung technology so baka wala naman ng ganun na experience. But it's still scary to me. I'd rather not take chances. Ayokong mawalan lalo ng vision. Hindi naman ako nananakot ha. Just my opinion
