a. roots
   1 .roots masticated and saliva   swallowed     for heart trouble.

b. leaves
   1. poultice applied for headache and chest pain
   2. infusion mixed with sugar and kalamansi juice taken for     
      cough and colds
   3. poultice applied for open cuts and cleaning wounds and for   
      ticks and fleas.
   4. infusion taken to expel gas in the intestine
   5. infusion taken for difficult urination
   6. decoction used as wash for vaginal irritation
   7. decoction used as aromatic bath and  for bathing infants.

c.flower
    1. poultice applied for head ache
    2. infusion taken for cough and sore throat
       decoction taken for dysentery

Food values
   Young leaves are used as stuffing in some fish   
   dishes such as “paksiw“ and“bopis”

Recommended medicinal uses
       
  For gas pain: boil 2 tablespoon of dried chopped leaves in
                       1 glass of water for 15 minutes. Drink     
                       decoction       
                       when lukewarm. For children 7 to 12 years     
                       old. Give half the recommended dose.
     
  For headache: crush some fresh leaves and apply to temples
     
      For cough: boil leaves in 2 glasses of water for 15   
                        minutes. Cool and strain
    Amount of fresh chopped leaves to be boiled:
      For adults:     8 tablespoon
      For children: 7 to 12 years: 4 tablespoon
                              2 to 6 years: 2 tablespoon
    amount of dried chopped leaves:
      for adultls:    6 tablespoon
      for children:   7 to 12 years: 3 tablespoon
                      2 to 6 years: 1 
                                 1/2tablespoon
             
        divide decoction into 3 parts. Drink 1 part 3 times a day.
    As aromatic bath: boil enough leaves in a big pot of water 
        for 5 minutes. Use when lukewarm.

mukha ngang effective ito sa ubo... kasi may allergy kasi ako  for almost 4 years...ubo po ako ng ubo pag sinusumpong ..nung nag simula po ako mag alagaw ...nawala yung parang allergy ko...ngayon po di na ako  inuubo...
