I think i've read it for one time about weight issues is not so much a function of feeding but of metabolism or yung rate ng pagtransform natin sa food into energy. Some people have  high metabolic rate kahit anong kain nila hindi sila talaga sila tumataba but surely it's not just genetic. Taking into consideration is a balance of genes, lifestyle, stress and diet. ultimately, nothing beats proper diet, exercise, vitamin supplements, and a healthy mindset.

we thought of stress as pampapayat. maybe in the long run, but from my experience and observations, some people tend to increase weight during these periods. the initial effect of stress is weight gain. that's because overwhelming stress tends to shut off or decreases our body's energy output so instead of burning food, we store them instead as fat. now if we carry on stress for extended periods, that's when we lose weight, but i think its still more of a function of decreased immunity than the direct effects of stress.

well just my opinion ha... kayo ano sa palagay nyo?

Hi forum,

I want to try Propan with Iron pero I'm currently taking Caltrate plus din, oki lang ba na itake sila pareho? I'm only 96 lbs. Hindi ba overdose for me yung 2x a day na Propan + Caltrate?

Another question (not related to the topic, ayoko ko lang mag-open ng separate thread). Can you please recommend a good pediatrician from Chinese General Hospital.

Thanks a lot.

I have a question. There's this drug that they're making in the US. I don't know if it's already made or still in the testing stage, but I do know that it's not yet aproved by their bureau of food and drugs. It is said to increase your body temperature by just a degree to help you either loose weight or gain weight slower than normal.

Whenever I eat, I get slightly flushed and hot. And no, it's not psychological. I touch someone and they say my hands are as hot as a flat iron. Is it really true that with increased body temp you would lessen or your chances of gaining weight? I can eat five full meals a day, high-calorie, and still not gain a pound. It takes me a year to gain about 5lbs.... 10 if I'm lucky.

too much calculation for calorie/food intake, sleeping hours, and
concerns on every detail with regards to fitness, (not that i'm against
it) unless you are a bodybuilder or who competes in a meet,
my suggestion is to keep it simple, don't think that if you "cheat"
your diet it could hinder you from reaching your ideal physique or
any fitness goal... eat when you feel hungry, sleep when you feel you
need it, and don't abstain yourself from eating lots when in a party
or occasion, life is great, moderation is the key (am i contradicting
myself ), and quit smoking

wow haba ng sinabi ko, nasa-mood kasi katatapos lang mag-gym

-put down that cheese burger, stop procrastinating, get up and get moving.

-don't just "bum out" your free time. get a good work out sched and stick to that.

-get a good reason for working out, set goals, lay out plans, focus on finishing 'em all.

-bulk yourself up by eating more protein, you can try out weight gain food supplements, just be careful in choosing, you might have allergic reactions to some.

-to lose weight, try to do more cardio. don't focus fire on a spot, study shows that you lose weight generally all over your body. If you think about it, you won't see any fat guy (flabby arms and legs) with a flat stomach.

-don't go for fad diets, you can still enjoy the food you want - in moderation.

-be careful of all-you-can-eat events (parties, occasions, food trips). I just try to put more greens on my plate if you can't avoid these situations.

-if you're starting to go to the gym, if possible, look for professional help with regards to your workout plan.

-get a gym buddy who's near or at your fitness level.

-getting real hungry after work out is normal just don't scoop up all the rice you can eat.

-play a sport you love. and if possible, join teams so that your peers can motivate you to do better. THIS REALLY HELPS

-drink lots of water, and get lots of rest..

This list will never end if I try to enumerate all the do's and don'ts. I had a good try though hehe. But in general, everything is best kept in moderation (food, supplements and even workouts), start or maintain a healthy lifestyle and

DON'T EVER GIVE UP!
